Yard Sale - Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 8AM - 2PM

We are participating in CHPT's Community Yard Sale, Saturday, August 21st from 8AM - 2PM. The FOCAS yard sale will be held at 39 Hammond Hill Road. We are accepting donations of items to sell - please call Brent at 508-294-5800 or email us at info@focascharlton.org. Nothing to donate, but itching to buy some great items at a super price? Stop in and shop! All proceeds from the yard sale will go towards construction and outfitting of the new shelter! UPDATE: FOCAS made $692! Thanks to all who donated items and participated!!

Booth at Old Home Day - Monday, September 6, 2010

FOCAS is excited to be participating in Old Home Day again this year! Visit our booth on the common, Monday, Sept. 6th. Meet FOCAS members and check out updated photos of the new municipal animal shelter. As always, membership and donation information will be available. Keep an eye out for Crystal, the friendly Salcata Tortoise! If the weather suits her, she will be there roaming around the event accepting donations!

Farmer's Market - Friday, September 10, 2010

FOCAS will be selling produce at the Farmer's Market on the common. A percentage of sales from Friday, September 10th will go FOCAS so stop by to pick out a variety of fresh veggies!

Tall Pine Farm - Pony Rides for F.O.C.A.S.!

Tall Pine Farm hosted a fun and exciting open house on June 13. Many demos and activities, including pony rides which raised much needed funds for FOCAS!

Birthday Party for F.O.C.A.S.!

Maia R. had a birthday party and asked all her friends to bring gifts to donate to F.O.C.A.S. for the dogs and cats under the care of Charlton Animal Control!

FOCAS Annual Meeting

FOCAS held its annual meeting on Tuesday, May 18th. Brent Sellew, Assistant Animal Control Officer in Charlton, gave a terrific update on the shelter construction. Members voted in the Board for 2010. Elected were Ernie Stokes, Joe Curran, Paul Kolesnikovas, Gail Stokes, and Heidi Webber. There are two open positions on the board. Please email FOCAS if you are interested in serving. It’s time to renew your membership – and we are always seeking new members and volunteers!

Trivial Pursuit Night

6 teams of about 45 people raised over $500 for FOCAS on May 1, 2010. Thanks to all who came to play!

Quinebaug Lodge Pet Food Drive

Quinebaug Masonic Lodge held a successful pet food drive on March 27, 2010 to benefit F.O.C.A.S. and other community shelters. Many thanks for all the terrific donations!

Cinderella Project Benefitting FOCAS

FOCAS was thrilled to be chosen as the recipient of two recent Cinderella Project event fundraisers! The discounted dress and gown sales were a big hit in the local communities raising $540 for FOCAS!

Natural Horsemanship Clinic at Wild Brook Farm!

John and Ruth of Wild Brook Farm, and Misty Rose Arabians Trainer Jessica Chickering and Manager Amanda Shelby, along with other FOCAS supporters, held aNatural Horsemanship Clinic on Feb. 28th! They raised upwards of $500 for FOCAS!

Valentine Pet Photos at Southbridge Savings Bank in Charlton!

Sheri Bibinski, Sabrina Webb, and the other great employees at Southbridge Savings Bank organized and held a colorful and fun Valentine's Day Pet Photo event for us on Feb. 6th that raised a whopping $390!!

Fabric Stash in Charlton held a fundraiser for F.O.C.A.S. and raised $135!
