FOCAS Annual Meeting
FOCAS held it's annual meeting on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 6:00 PM at the new Municipal Animal Shelter, 15 Old Town Road, Charlton, MA. We welcome three new board members: Cynthia Jodoin, David Stewart, and Cindy Zerdecki!
A Party for FOCAS
Once again the animal loving youth of Charlton came through big for FOCAS! Allison Bolton accepted gifts on behalf of FOCAS for her 11th birthday party! Allison and her 9 fantastic friends raised over $150 plus supplies for the homeless dogs/cats in Charlton!
FOCAS thanks Allison and her birthday guests: Caroline Lawson, Maia Romanelli, Jessica Rousakos, Chloe Ryder, Kathleen Landry, Isabel Fererra, Reese Maple, Jordan Maple, and Angie Kapparonis!!
Trivial Pursuit Night
Trivial Pursuit Night raised over $700 for Friends of Charlton Animal Shelter and People for Animals League! The senior center was bursting with 7 teams of 60 brainiacs working together to come up with the correct answers to 100 tough trivia questions. "The Righteous Readers" took first place in a tight race for the win!
A Party for FOCAS
F.O.C.A.S. extends ginormous thanks to Hannah Mason and Brittany Como who held a birthday party on Feb. 19, 2011. They asked that donations go to FOCAS. They raised a whopping $850 in monetary donations and $200 in dog/cat supplies!
Pet Pics with Santa at Southbridge Savings Bank in Charlton, December 11, 2010!
Thanks to Santa and his "elves" from Southbridge Savings Bank who organized and held Pet Pictures with Santa! Over 30 dogs and their owners came in for festive photos. FOCAS board members and volunteers were on hand to meet and greet visitors. Sales of new FOCAS T-Shirts and hats were brisk and we were thrilled to gain several new members! $755 was raised at this event! Thank you to all who participated!
Cinderella Project Benefitting FOCAS
FOCAS was again chosen as the recipient of the November 2010 Cinderella Project event fundraiser! The discounted dress and gown sale raised $140 for FOCAS!
Farmer's Market - Friday, September 10, 2010
FOCAS sold produce at the Farmer's Market on the common. A percentage of sales went to FOCAS!
Booth at Old Home Day - Monday, September 6, 2010
Many fellow animals lovers stopped by the booth and made donations as well and together we raised over $300 to be used for construction and operation of the new municipal animal shelter! Woofs and Meows to all!

Tall Pine Farm - Pony Rides for F.O.C.A.S.!
Tall Pine Farm hosted a fun and exciting open house on June 13. Many demos and activities, including pony rides which raised much needed funds for FOCAS!

Maia R. had a birthday party and asked all her friends to bring gifts to donate to F.O.C.A.S. for the dogs and cats under the care of Charlton Animal Control!
FOCAS Annual Meeting
FOCAS held its annual meeting on Tuesday, May 18th. Brent Sellew, Assistant Animal Control Officer in Charlton, gave a terrific update on the shelter construction. Members voted in the Board for 2010. Elected were Ernie Stokes, Joe Curran, Paul Kolesnikovas, Gail Stokes, and Heidi Webber. There are two open positions on the board. Please email FOCAS if you are interested in serving. It’s time to renew your membership – and we are always seeking new members and volunteers!
Trivial Pursuit Night
6 teams of about 45 people raised over $500 for FOCAS on May 1, 2010. Thanks to all who came to play!

FOCAS was thrilled to be chosen as the recipient of two recent Cinderella Project event fundraisers! The discounted dress and gown sales were a big hit in the local communities raising $540 for FOCAS!
Natural Horsemanship Clinic at Wild Brook Farm!
John and Ruth of Wild Brook Farm, and Misty Rose Arabians Trainer Jessica Chickering and Manager Amanda Shelby, along with other FOCAS supporters, held aNatural Horsemanship Clinic on Feb. 28th! They raised upwards of $500 for FOCAS!
Valentine Pet Photos at Southbridge Savings Bank in Charlton!
Sheri Bibinski, Sabrina Webb, and the other great employees at Southbridge Savings Bank organized and held a colorful and fun Valentine's Day Pet Photo event for us on Feb. 6th that raised a whopping $390!!
